Radish root is a great natural alternative to synthetic preservatives. It has a light scent, pale yellow color, and is water-soluble. If you are making your own homemade skin care serums, foundations, hair, or beauty products, you still need to test your formulation to determine the exact percentage needed. This is a mild protectant and may not fully protect. Depending on your formulation, you may need to combine it with another preservative to protect your product fully.
